Jamahal Hill Vows All-Out War at UFC Baku
UFC light heavyweight contender Jamahal Hill is making one thing crystal clear ahead of his high-stakes clash with Khalil Rountree Jr. in the main event of UFC Baku this Saturday: Expect violence.
With both men hungry for a shot at title contention and known for their explosive striking, Hill is promising nothing short of a show-stealing war when they step into the Octagon.
“They know what I bring. They know I’m here to deliver a show. Always,” Hill said in a recent interview.“I can’t think of a fight of mine that wasn’t entertaining. Even whenever I watch my fights back, I was there, and I still like to see them.”
Hill (12-2, 1 NC) is coming off a disappointing setback but remains one of the division’s most dangerous and dynamic fighters. Known for his knockout power and relentless pace, “Sweet Dreams” is eager to reassert himself in a light heavyweight division that’s wide open.
“I can pretty much click on any of them [my past fights] because all my fights were entertaining to this point,” he added.“I don’t think there’s ever been a boring fight tied to my name. That’s one thing I’m proud of. I’ll be able to look back whenever I get older—my kids, grandkids, or whatever—and I can turn it on, and it’s like—oh, the whole time, eyes glued to it. So it’s cool.”
His opponent, Khalil Rountree Jr., is no stranger to fireworks either, boasting a string of devastating finishes in recent years. With both men built for highlight reels, fans can expect an all-action bout with serious implications for the 205-pound rankings.
Whether it ends early or goes the distance, Hill guarantees one thing: “There’s never been a boring fight with my name on it.”
UFC Baku goes down this Saturday night, and if Jamahal Hill has his way, it’ll be must-see TV.
